Glaco Mirror Coat Zero – ultra-hydrophobic coating for side mirrors and on-board cameras

When it's raining and you're parking, reversing or driving out of a tight gate, visibility in your mirrors or on-board cameras becomes crucial for safety. With Glaco Mirror Coat Zero you will find a new level of comfortable driving! This ultra-hydrophobic coating ensures that even the smallest raindrops will bounce off the surface of your mirrors and cameras, even if the car is stationary!

Make use of the packaging!

Don't throw away the cardboard backing that is part of the box! Bend it into a semi-circular shape and place it in the gap between the mirror and its housing. This will allow you to easily apply the product without the risk of spraying other parts of the car.

The extraordinarily strong water repelling properties of Glaco Mirror Coat Zero have given this product a whole new use in the scientific world. Our agent has been used repeatedly in large-scale chemical and physical tests investigating the wetting angle and wettability of materials or surfaces, providing an even, uniform ultrahydrophobic effect that can be trusted.

With Glaco you see more and react faster

Water settles on unprotected glass and distorts the lights. Your visibility is reduced, blurred or it’s gone altogether! The solution? Glaco. How does it work? The invisible coating shapes water into perfectly round droplets and strongly repels them. The rest of the work is done by air which blows the droplets off the glass leaving it clear even in the heaviest downpour.

With Glaco, you can reduce the wear and tear on your windscreen wipers and even drive without them! Fewer wiper cycles not only mean a longer service life, but also less eyestrain, better concentration, and greater driving comfort.

Improve your chances in emergency situations

In an emergency situation on the road, fractions of a second can make the difference between life and limb – for you, your fellow passengers and other road users. The rule of thumb is simple: the better you see, the faster you react.

How to apply

Tip
Do not use on heated mirrors (or do not use this feature after applying the product) or on mirrors with other coatings.
1Wash the mirrors with car shampoo before application. If special hydrophobic coatings have been applied to the mirrors before, remove them with a dedicated cleaner.
2Slide the cardboard from the packaging between the insert and the mirror housing to protect the adjacent parts from stains.
3Shake the can well before use and spray the mirror from a distance of about 15-20 cm.
4Allow the product to dry (~1 hour in summer, ~2 hours in winter), do not touch during this time.
